Myra-Ann Pickens

Experience

Myra-Ann is an experienced learning and development professional with over 30 years in the field, providing external support to large organisations as well as heading up internal learning and organisation development functions. Much of her work has focused on such areas as leadership, strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, personal development, communications, and relationship skills.

Some of her work has been published as an example of Best Practice. 

She has been a guest lecturer in the Strategic Leadership course as part of the MBA program at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management. She has also taught communications and managing organisational change for the graduate school’s corporate programs and she teaches senior ranking government officials of underdeveloped countries for the Macquarie Law School.

Education and Accreditations

Myra-Ann holds a Master of Science in Organisation Development from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, a Master of Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management and has completed two of three years on her Doctorate in virtual organisations.

She is an accredited consultant in the DiSC Profile and holds a Lifetime Accreditation on the Life Styles Inventory (LSI). She is also accredited in the Group Styles Inventory (GSI), the Leadership Impact (LI) and the Management Impact (MI) behavioural feedback instruments.

Errol van Blerk

Experience

Errol has been a learning and development professional for more than 25 years, providing external support to many large organisations, as well as heading up internal learning and development functions. His primary focus has been on the development of leaders and staff as part of large organisation development initiatives, including executive coaching, facilitation, and evaluation of nationwide programs.

With a broad range of knowledge and experience, he has tended to specialise in such subject areas as leadership development, team development, coaching skills, communications, and relationship management.

He has been a guest lecturer in virtual teams for the MBA program at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, and he has taught leadership development, virtual teams, and communications modules for the Graduate School’s corporate programs.

Education and Accreditations

After completing his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Business Administration from San Jose State University in the US, Errol completed his Master of Management at Macquarie Graduate School of Management and has completed two of three years on his Doctorate in Virtual Teams.
